Franklin St Infill

THE DETAILS

The exceptional transformation of 1000 West Franklin Street breathes new life into a late 19th-century Romanesque Revival mansion located on a prominent corner in Richmond’s historic West Franklin Street corridor. Originally a residence and most recently used by Virginia Commonwealth University as office space, the 6,400-square-foot structure has been converted back into a residential building through an historic tax credit rehabilitation. The project created eight apartments to revitalize the building for contemporary urban living while preserving its historic integrity.
