THE DETAILS

The Reserve, a residential condominium project in Church Hill, was an adaptive reuse of an existing historic warehouse and an infill building on an adjacent lot which previously housed a foundry. Located on the transition from the Hill to Tobacco Row, a 28 foot slope across the property bridges 1800s rowhouses and historic warehouses below. Using historic and contextual references from the surrounding neighborhood, curved roofs respond to the hillside, stepping down the slope. As the building recedes from the street, contemporary treatments finish the facades. South facing units have river and skyline views while north facing units nestle into the neighborhood.
