THE DETAILS
Once part of the Robert E. Lee elementary school grounds, the school was converted into lofts by means of a special use permit, making it necessary to subdivide the properties, amend the existing SUP and obtain a new SUP for these five new homes. The design responds to the neighborhood vernacular; the form, massing, materials, and setbacks are consistent with the Museum District’s patterns. Elevated front yards and sloping roofs are contiguous with neighbors in the district.
