1619 W Cary st.

THE DETAILS

The 1619 W. Cary St. redevelopment in Uptown reimagines a narrow, underutilized lot by subdividing it into two parcels—one facing W. Cary Street and the other  Parkwood Avenue. Each parcel contains a two-family detached dwelling, creating four sleek homes respectfully integrated within the urban fabric.

Each three-story building reads as a single-family home from the street, responding to the rhythm and scale of adjacent buildings through a reinterpretation of Richmond’s traditional row house vernacular. With forms responding to building code and zoning requirements, corner windows open to expansive views.  Each unit  prioritizes livability and functionality in 1450 square feet with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, private outdoor living spaces.
